BILLINGS, Mont. –The Montana State University Billings volleyball team welcomes cross town rival Rocky Mountain College for a special match Tuesday, but not just because of city bragging rights for the next year. Both teams will be playing for a special cause in Alterowitz Gymnasium.
The national movement of Think Pink will be taking place at the match. It's a breast cancer awareness night unique to volleyball. Matches across the country at all levels join the cause in October. It is also the second meeting between MSUB and Rocky this season. Rocky swept MSUB their first meeting at Rocky in an exhibition match earlier in the fall so MSUB will be looking for a shot at redemption and it's all in support of a good cause.
"Our players always get excited to play for the Think Pink night," MSUB volleyball head coach
Lisa Axel said. "It is a great way for us to raise money for a great cause. We are hoping to get a huge crowd to see some very good volleyball and we are looking forward to the rivalry between MSUB and Rocky."
