BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings volleyball team heads on its final Great Northwest Athletic Conference road trip of the season, Thursday and Saturday as it travels to Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks, respectively.  The Yellowjackets and UAA begin at 7 p.m. Alaska time, Thursday, while the Jackets and UAF battle at 3 p.m. Saturday.
 
The Yellowjackets enter the week with a 4-18 record overall and a 4-9 record in conference play.  Alaska Anchorage is 13-7 overall and 8-4 in conference play.  The Seawolves have won five of six matches since a 3-0 win at MSUB on Oct. 2.  Alaska Fairbanks is 5-13 on the year and 3-9 in conference play.  The Nanooks will host nationally ranked Seattle Pacific before MSUB comes calling Saturday.  UAF has lost eight of its last nine, while winning just three of its last 12.  MSUB posted a 3-1 win over UAF in Billings, Sept. 30.
 
Leading the way for MSUB this season is senior Jennifer Boe, who has a team-high 238 kills.  Junior Melissa Porter is second in kills with 140, while sophomore Hannah Johnson is third with 139.  Junior Brooke Tolman leads the team with 617 assists.  
 
Defensively, the Jackets are led by Boe who has 253 digs.  Freshman Adrienne Kelso is second with 201 digs.  Porter leads the team with 21 solo blocks and 71 total blocks.  
 
Boe ranks seventh in the league in kills per game at a 2.90 clip, and is third in kills with 238.  Tolman is seventh in the conference in assists per game at a 7.52 average, while ranking fourth in assists with 617.  Porter also ranks seventh in the league in blocks per game at a 0.87 average.  She leads the conference in solo blocks with 21, and is tied for third in total blocks with 71.
 
As a team, the Jackets are hitting .100 on the year with 762 kills and 494 errors.  The Yellowjackets have 703 assists and 1094 digs.  MSUB has tallied 156.5 total blocks and 51 solo blocks.
 
The Seawolves are led by five players who have over 100 kills each.  Jackie Matthisen leads the team with 194 kills, while McKenzie Moss is second with 173.  Robyn Burton leads the team in attack percentage at a .316 clip, which is second best in the league.  
 
From the setter position, the Seawolves are led by Siobhan Johansen with 438 assists and Adriana Aukusitino has 306.  Nikkie Viotto leads the team in digs with 221, while Matthisen has 212.  Burton also leads the team in total blocks with 94 and nine solo blocks.
As a team, the Seawolves are hitting .210 on the year with 900 kills, 384 errors and 846 assists.  They have 1015 digs and 190.5 total blocks, with 35 solo blocks.
 
UAA leads the all-time series 30-10 and 14-4 in Anchorage.  The Seawolves won the earlier meeting this season in Billings, snapping a two-game skid.  The Yellowjackets were the only team to defeat UAA in conference play last year, winning 3-0 in Anchorage and 3-1 in Billings.  UAA won the conference title in 2009.  MSUB has won six of the last eight in the series.
 
Alaska Fairbanks is led by Tereza Bendlova who leads the team and is third in the conference in kills with 247 and a 3.48 average.  Erica Gage is second with 134 kills, while Simone Chavous is third with 127 and Marybeth Wikander is fourth with 117.  Mandy Grierson leads the team in assists with 609.
 
Defensively, the Nanooks are led by Jordyn Montgomery who has a team-high 182 digs.  Bendlova is second with 178 digs.  Gage leads the team with 18 solo blocks and 71 total blocks.
 
UAF leads the all-time series 22-19, but the Yellowjackets won 3-1 in Billings earlier this year for their second straight in the series and fifth in the last seven.  The Nanooks own a 10-5 record in the series in Fairbanks.
