BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings men's golf team edged Rocky Mountain College by one stroke on Sunday afternoon to win the first MSU Billings Invitational Golf Tournament at Pryor Creek Golf Club. Rocky's Nate Bailey took home individual honors with a 73, but the Yellowjackets held off the Bears 324-325. Miles Community College finished third with a 338.
It was the first event hosted by the Yellowjackets, who are in their first season of competition.
Chris McConnell led MSUB and took second place overall with a score of 80. The event was the final scheduled event for the Yellowjackets this fall. They will continue competition in the NCAA's traditional championship season in the spring.
Andrea Griffith of Miles CC captured the ladies' individual top honors with a 97. She edged MSUB's
Elizabeth Marshall who shot a 99.
