COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A week after earning second-team all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors, Montana State University Billings women's tennis senior
Emily Paffhausen has been tabbed as a first-team academic all-conference pick announced by the conference Thursday.

Paffhausen carries a 3.92 grade point average while studying English with a teaching option, and her GPA is tied for the highest among first-team selections.

Mary Conwell also received academic accolades from the conference, as she was selected to the RMAC Honor Roll with a 3.64 GPA in special education.

Paffhausen and Conwell teamed up to go undefeated in conference play at No. 2 doubles for the Yellowjackets this spring. The duo was also recently inducted into MSUB's Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society, which recognizes Yellowjackets who participate in a varsity sport and carry at least a 3.40 grade point average.

Six total players were selected to the academic all-RMAC first team, with Ganna Tiurina of Western New Mexico tabbed as the 2015 RMAC Women's Tennis Academic Athlete of the Year. A total of 18 other players earned Honor Roll status from the RMAC.

To earn academic all-conference honors, players must be in their second-consecutive semester of competition at their institution and carry a 3.30 or higher GPA.
