BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings men's soccer team took a five points to three lead over Rocky Mountain College on Monday in the first day of the inaugural Billings Collegiate Cup.  Rocky's women led the Yellowjackets six points to zero.

In the 'four-ball" pairings, the Yellowjackets' Chris Haas and Nicholas Larson defeated Ryan Linnell and Billy Pine, 4-and-3.  Jason Kinsey and Heath Anderson defeated Vic Meyers and Rob Grayson, 5-and-4.  Chris McConnell and Bryan Barthelmess halved their match.

Larson carded a 9-under round of 62 in his four-ball match.  The score is unofficial since the tournament is not stroke play, but it is the best round a Yellowjacket golfer has shot in the program's history.

The Rocky women won all three four-ball matches for the 6-0 lead.  Tuesday's matches will include eight singles matches for the men and six matches for the women.
