BILLINGS, Mont.- The Montana State University Billings volleyball team (2–17, 0–13 GNAC) came out on top in dominant fashion during the second Rimrock Rivalry matchup of the season, sweeping Rocky Mountain College (2–24) in three sets, 26–24, 25–16, and 26–24, at the Fortin Center on Tuesday night.
After falling to the Battlin' Bears in a five-set battle earlier this season, the Yellowjackets came ready for redemption—and they delivered. MSUB outperformed Rocky across the board, leading in kills (38–29), assists (35–29), aces (3–2), and blocks (14–6).

Allie Dorman powered the Yellowjackets' attack with 10 kills, followed by
Marissa Allen with eight and
Kenzie Allen with seven.
Kenzie Allen earned Intermountain Health Player of the Game honors after recording a 16-assist, 10-dig double-double, adding one block and posting a team-best .429 hitting percentage. Other standouts included
Reese Sherwood with 13 assists,
Avarey Stuff with a team-high 24 digs, and
Tehani Moniz, who notched a career-best five blocks.
Set One
The opening frame was a back-and-forth battle, with neither team able to pull away early. MSUB used a 4–1 run to take an 11–8 lead, but RMC answered quickly with five straight points to reclaim momentum. The Bears extended their lead to six before the Yellowjackets stormed back. Late kills from
Addison Holcomb and
Marissa Allen sparked a 6–1 rally to bring MSUB within two. A Moniz kill, a Rocky error, and an
Avarie Gutierrez ace tied the set at 24–24. The Yellowjackets then sealed the comeback, taking the opener 26–24.
Set Two
Riding their momentum, the Yellowjackets jumped to an early 6–2 advantage behind three kills from Dorman. MSUB continued to build on that lead, extending it to 17–9 following a
Stella Scott service ace. Rocky tried to rally late, but the 'Jackets held firm, closing out the set 25–16 to go up 2–0.
Set Three
The final set mirrored the first, featuring several lead changes and tight rallies. MSUB edged ahead 7–4 before Rocky fought back to tie it at 8–8. The Bears gained a brief 12–9 lead, but the Yellowjackets responded once again, evening things at 15-all. After trading points down the stretch, MSUB capitalized on Rocky's errors to take a 20–18 lead. The two teams tied at 22, 23, and 24 before Dorman delivered the match-winning kill, clinching the sweep 26–24.
