BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State University Billings men's soccer is set to play the second of back-to-back games against University of Mary Sunday, September 29 at 2 p.m. The 'Jackets bested the Marauders Monday in Bismarck 3-1 and have a chance to sweep the season series with a win at Yellowjacket Field Sunday.
Last time out, MSUB scored a pair of goals two minutes and 12 seconds apart in the first half and held on for the win at University of Mary soccer field.
Theo Lamare,
Ignacio Crespo, and
Christian Thode was the Yellowjacket goal scorers and
Andres Perez continued his strong form, adding a pair of assists.
Sunday represents the final non-conference regular season affair for the Yellowjackets (2-3-1). They play the following 12 games against Great Northwest Athletic Conference foes to close out the fall.

MSUB PLAYERS TO WATCH: Perez leads the Yellowjackets with seven points (two goals, three assists) and has played 255 minutes on the pitch. Crespo has six points (two goals, two assists) in 283 total minutes. Newcomer
Yaniss Aka has made a positive impression so far with four points (one goal, two assists) and
Shantik Bedrosian,
Theo Lamare, and
Christian Thode have also found the scoresheet this fall with single goal markers.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jessy Martin has won back-to-back GNAC defensive player of the week awards and has played all 560 minutes of the regular season so far. Martin's 1.29 goals against average ranks third in the GNAC and his .800 save percentage is second only to Lars Helleren (.826, Seattle Pacific).
The Yellowjackets are currently fifth of seven teams with a 2-3-1 overall record. Saint Martin's ranks first at 5-1-1.

The Marauders are looking to bounce back after their 0-6 start to the season.
University of Mary has an even mix of returners and newcomers this fall. Offense has been in short supply so far but Blake Palmquist leads the team with one goal and one assist for three points. Tresor Mugwaneza and Joseph Frediani also have single goals.
In addition to the 3-1 win over UMary last week, the Yellowjackets bested the Marauders 1-0 in Bismarck last season.
Shantik Bedrosian had one shot on goal and MSUB outshot UMary 14-10 with five landing on goal.
