BILLINGS, Mont. – Andrew Bonner has been hired as the operations coordinator announced the Montana State University Billings athletic department on Wednesday.
 
"We are excited to have Andrew join our team, and are looking forward to the impressive skill set he will bring to our athletic department," said MSUB director of athletics Krista Montague. "Andrew's abilities and experience aligned precisely with our operations coordinator position, and we are confident he will quickly become a valuable member of our administrative staff."
 
Bonner will begin his position at MSUB on March 4. He will be in charge of the Yellowjackets' gameday operations, athletics facilities, and managing the department's staff of student workers.
 
Bonner most recently served as the graduate assistant for athletics facilities and operations at Northern Arizona University, which is a member of the NCAA Division I Big Sky Conference. "I am very excited to arrive in Billings and start at MSUB," said the Flagstaff, Arizona, native. "Recently, when I was at MSUB I was very impressed with the athletic department staff and their operations plans for the future, so I immediately thought it would be a great team to join and a perfect fit for me. I'm looking forward to starting my position and working together with everyone at the university to help ensure everything runs smoothly."
 
In the fall of 2017, Bonner started his master's degree in educational leadership in higher education at Northern Arizona University. During his time at NAU he was responsible for managing all home athletic and non-athletic events and being the direct point of contact for all student event staff. Bonner worked directly with five different facilities and 12 varsity sports at NAU, where he graduated in December of 2018.
 
Bonner attended Johnson and Wales University where he was an all-conference award winner on the men's basketball team and graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports, entertainment and event management in 2017. At JWU, Bonner worked in athletics as a student assistant where he helped manage all home sporting events for nine varsity sports.
 
Bonner replaces James Catlin, who previously served as MSUB's operations coordinator from June, 2014-December, 2018.
