Box Score BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Game 1 went the distance, but it was WWU who broke free in the 11th inning on an unearned run to win 5-4 over the MSUB softball team. In Game 2 the Yellowjackets scored 10 runs on 10 hits in the top of the fourth inning, and hold an 11-3 lead over Western Washington University after four innings. Game 2 will resume tomorrow at 4 p.m. Mountain Time.
In Game 1, MSU Billings scored two run in the third innings. Lead-off hitter
Bella Rovens hit a single to right center and
Cori Gammon moved her to second on a sac bunt.
Taylor Hoke lined up a hit straight up the middle, bringing in Rovens from second. With two outs,
Kelsey Devlin hit the fourth single of the inning, scoring Hoke from third and giving the Yellowjackets a 2-0 lead.
Western Washington scored four runs in the fifth inning. Junior Alexie Levin hit a single for two RBI's and a home run from Emily Benson scored two, putting the Vikings up 4-2.

Emily Osborn tied the game in the seventh inning with a two-run home run, her sixth of the season.
After three scoreless innings, WWU's Cylie Richards scored on a sacrifice to third and then a fielding error from MSUB for the 1-run win.
Megan Dettling pitched four and two thirds innings before
Jessyka MacDonald (4-4) came in to pitch five and two thirds innings, picking up the loss in the circle for MSUB.
"Our first game was very similar to yesterday's game," MSUB head coach
Lisa Allen said. "Our pitching and defense was good. Offensively we left too many runners on base and didn't come up with the clutch hit."
Western Washington University opened Game 2 scoring two runs in the first innings, but MSU Billings had a huge fourth inning scoring 10 runs on 10 hits and lead the Vikings 11-3 after fourth innings. Game 2 was suspended due to darkness and will resume tomorrow at 4 p.m. Live stats will be available at msubsports.com.
"In the second game our hitters made a good adjustment," Allen said. "The defense is playing well and we are looking forward to finishing out the game tomorrow."
