Coach Balog Interview
Billings, Mont. – Montana State Billings men's soccer team could not overcome a slow start as they fell 2-0 to San Francisco State University Thursday (Sept. 5) afternoon. The Yellowjackets will look to rebound against Sonoma State University on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Gators scored two goals in the latter minutes of the first half, putting MSUB in a hole that they would not be able to dig out of. Hayden Roberts scored from 15 yards away in the 37
th minute, receiving a corner kick by Nick Herb. Approximately five minutes later at 42:18 Cameron De Jong netted a cross pass from Roberts, ultimately dealing the game sealing goal.
Roberts finished the contest with three total points.

Thorge Jess and
Cameron Lee all landed shots on target for the Jackets.
MSU Billings was outshot by the opposition 13-9, but did however own the slight 4-3 shot on goal advantage.
Colt Reichl was credited with the shutout victory, recording four saves in the match.
Eoin Hurley started between the pipes for the Yellowjackets and allowed both goals in the contest. MSUB received two yellow cards (Lee-9:46; Horst-19:55) compared to SFSU's one (Sam Merritt-22:22).
The Yellowjackets will quickly regroup and compete against Sonoma State on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
