Muller also tallied three strikeouts while only allowing seven hits in facing 32 batters.

Colter Sternhagen all recorded one run batted in each.
Tim Fowler had a solid outing for the Mavericks, going 3-4 with one run batted in. Matt Williams had a game high eight strikeouts in seven innings on the mound.
Friday's contest was a defensive battle, as the game didn't see its first run scored until the bottom of the fourth with Kevin Mitchell crossing for Colorado Mesa. Fosnes evened the score in the top of the sixth when he hit a home run that landed in left field.
All even at 1-1, the turning point came in the top of the eighth when MSUB scored four runs to give them the 5-1 advantage. The Mavericks countered with one run in the bottom of the inning to come within three of the Jackets lead.
This would be as close as Colorado Mesa would get as
Bobby Ragasa finished the deal for MSUB in the bottom of the ninth, striking out one batter in the process.
“Muller was the story today for us,” stated third year head coach
Rob Bishop. “He held a very good hitting team in check and gave our offense a chance to put some runs on the board. Ragasa was terrific in relief as well.”
