Billings, Mont. – Looking to bounce back off of a tough loss on Thursday, the Montana State Billings men's soccer team headed to Bellingham, Wash. on Saturday, Sept. 15 to compete against Western Washington University. While leading the Vikings 1-0 at the break, the Yellowjackets could not match the energy of Western Washington in the second half and were edged out 2-1 in the contest.
The Yellowjackets attacked the Vikings defense early in the match, taking three straight shots in the first 10 minutes of the contest, with two being blocked and one going wide. Western Washington countered in the 10
th and 11
th minute with two shots of their own that went wide.
In the 22
nd minute MSUB's offense would find success with a goal by freshman defender

Thomas Chameraud and first year Jacket
Landon Horst, and then nailed a 19 yard strike that hit the right side of the net. The score marks Lee's first career goal as a Yellowjacket.
MSUB and Western Washington went back and forth following the score, with the Vikings having a slight advantage in possession. Western Washington took three shots in the closing minutes of the first half, but the attempts would be met by senior co-captain and defender
Conner Moe and the Jackets' backline. The Yellowjackets held the 1-0 lead going into the break.

rd minute. Western Washington out shot MSUB 16-11 and had more shots on target with a 5-3 advantage.
Eoin Hurley made his fifth consecutive start at goal keeper and finished with two saves on the day.

The Jackets now sit at 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
MSUB's next contest will be the men's first home game of the 2012 season. They will face St. Martin's University on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 4:00 p.m.
