NAMPA, Idaho – For the second straight game, Bobbi Knudsen topped her career-high in points and was the driving force behind the Montana State University Billings women's basketball team defeating the Crusaders of Northwest Nazarene University 69-60 in their final regular-season road game of the 2011-12 season Saturday afternoon.

With their second road-win in a row, the Yellowjackets improve to 18-8 overall and 10-5 in the league while the Crusaders move to 14-8 overall and 8-6 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action.

“This was another great road-win for us tonight,” stated head coach Kevin Woodin. “Our players really played hard for us tonight and I was proud of how we competed all game long. Bobbi was especially spectacular, particularly in the first half and we really needed her out in three point range. We were able to get six different people to hit at least one shot from outside, so that really helped us tonight to spread out the game.

“I felt like we were good when we needed to be on defense, but we did struggle on the boards a bit. We guarded them pretty well though and came away with the win. It was a really great team-effort.”

The Yellowjackets shot 46.4% (26-56) from the field that included a 44% (11-25) outing from three-point range.

Briaunna King and Megan Hingston each had a double-double with King leading NNU with 16 points along with 10 rebounds. Kingston led all players with 11 rebounds and also added 14 points. The final player for NNU to record double-digit points was Chelsie Luke with 11 points including a team-high three three-pointers.
