BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings women's basketball team saw three of it's student-athletes awarded with College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors on Tuesday, with Kaitlin Grossman, Alllison Kunze, and Alli Ligocki receiving recognition.

CSC Academic All-District recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional performances both on the court and in the classroom. To receive the award, a student-athlete must compete in 90% or more of a team's game, or start at least 66% of games, while holding a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Each of MSUB's three selections were honored for the first time in their careers.

"Congratulations to all three of our academic all-district honorees," said Yellowjacket head coach Kevin Woodin. "Each of them has excelled in their academic fields and understand the importance of getting it done in the classroom. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication they have dedicated to their studies, and they are very deserving of this prestigious honor."

Grossman, the lone senior on the Yellowjacket's roster this past season, has kept up a 3.81 cumulative GPA in her career, and is set to graduate this spring with her nursing degree. She also received Academic All-GNAC honors from the conference back in February, marking the third time in her career that she earned academic all-conference. On the court, Grossman, who entered the 2025-26 season as a Preseason All-GNAC selection, finished the season averaging 8.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game across 34 games, while collecting 42 steals and 23 blocks on the defensive side of the ball. She was recognized with All-GNAC Honorable Mention honors for her efforts on the season, and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the GNAC Championships, where she helped to lead the 'Jackets to the 2026 GNAC Title, just the second conference championship in program history.

A newcomer this past season after transferring from Williston State College, Kunze has maintained a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA in her collegiate career. A health and physical education major, Kunze stepped right into the rotation for MSUB this past season, playing 34 games, along with making four starts. The junior averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 steals per game for the 'Jackets, scoring double-digits nine times during the year.

One of the Yellowjacket's rising sophomores, Ligocki has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.82, while working towards a degree in English. On the court, Ligocki doubled her games played from last season, seeing action in 34 contests for MSUB and becoming a regular piece of the Yellowjacket's rotation in games. Ligocki would increase her averages to 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, shooting 37.9% from three-point range. She would also make her impact felt on the defensive end, where she collected 11 steals and four blocks.
