2024-25: Featured in a total of eight games in her freshman year... played a total of 19 minutes, averaging 2.4 per game... scored 11 total points, grabbing five rebounds and totaling a steal and a block each... shot 62.5% from the field... made her debut and scored her first career points on Nov. 1 against Texas A&M International... scored a season-high three points on Feb. 15 against Northwest Nazarene.
Cactus Shadows High School: Participated in four seasons of high school basketball... three-year team captain... Academic All-State four times... helped lead her team to two regional championships... All-Region Defensive Player of the Year 2022-23... All-Region First Team in 2022-23, and 2021-22... earned Second Team All-Conference honors one time... All-State Third Team 2023-24.
Coach Woodin on Koester: "We were ecstatic when Cam decided to become a Yellowjacket. Alisha identified Cam first and the more I watched her, the more I understood why Alisha was so high on her. She has the ability to play multiple positions and her versatility and size on the perimeter are definitely strengths of hers. Cam comes from a very successful summer team program and is a tremendous all-around player and student-athlete. I believe Cam will compete for minutes right away and her skill set, and versatility are perfect for what we like to do both on offense and defense."
Koester on choosing MSUB: "When I went to Billings on my official visit, I had no idea what to expect. I was hardly familiar with the area, but something still made it feel like my future home. Pittacus Lore once said, "A place is only as good as the people you know in it. It's the people that make the place." Only being there for less than 48 hours, I could tell MSUB was like a family and the place I wanted to be! Kevin and Alisha were so welcoming and made me confident in my choice to be 1,196.7 miles away from home. Not only that, but my future teammates made me feel as if I had always been a part of the team. I am looking forward to next year and seeing what MSUB has in store for me."
