PORTLAND, Ore. – The Montana State University Billings men's track and field program saw a quartet of student-athletes earn Academic All-GNAC honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets saw

Kaleb Scott each receive academic all-conference honors for the first time in their Yellowjacket careers.

Herbert led MSUB's selections in GPA, maintaining an average of 3.81 while working towards a degree in health & human performance. The sophomore sprinter from Kinnear, Wyoming has excelled in the classroom and on the track this outdoor season, ranking second in the GNAC with a 10.56 time in the 100m, which also ranks second in MSUB program history, while also setting a new PR in the 200m, and running on both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams, both of which have entered the top ten in program history for times this season, with the 4x400m team sitting in second place in program history with a time of 3:21.96. Herbert also finished second in program history in the indoor season in the 60m with a mark of 6.94.
Also running on the 4x400m relay team is Scott, who earned a 3.40 GPA. The senior, who is set to graduate this spring with a degree in liberal studies, has performed well for the 'Jackets throughout the season, setting a PR with a mark of 7.41 in the 60m this winter in indoor season, The Grants Pass, Oregon native also has set PRs in both the 100m and 200m this outdoor campaign with times of 11.52 and 22.28 respectively.
Fellow senior Fenley would earn a 3.52 GPA on the year, while also majoring in liberal studies. The school record holder in both the heptathlon and decathlon, Fenley has continued his success in the multi events this season, medaling at the GNAC Indoor Championships with a third-place score of 3,964 in heptathlon. Fenley, who hails from Harlowtown, Montana, is rounding into form ahead of the GNAC Combined Events Championships, setting PRs in both the discus and javelin, while earning a decathlon score of 5,210.
Dezember, a junior from Richland, Washington maintained a 3.44 GPA while working towards a degree in health & human performance. Dezember set a PR in the 60m during the indoor season, with his 7.05 time moving to seventh fastest in MSUB history, while in outdoor season, Dezember has set PRs in the 100m with a time of 10.89, while earning a season best in the 200m with a time of 22.15.
The Yellowjackets are set to compete in their final meet before GNAC Championship meet action this Friday, April 25, competing at the Ed Jacoby Twilight hosted by Boise State University. Live results for the meet can be found
