BILLINGS, Mont.- The Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket Volleyball team (2-11) had another Rimrock Rivalry matchup vs the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears (11-6). The Battlin' Bears protected their home court, edging the Yellowjackets in three sets (25-21, 25-20, 25-20).
The Yellowjackets got off to a slow start in the first set letting the Battlin' Bears get up early. After a 6-1 lead the 'Jackets clawed their way ahead to a late 21-19 lead. Rocky would then score six consecutive points to take the set 25-21.
The 'Jackets offense came alive in the second set behind senior 
Olivia Schwartz. She had 8 kills in the match at this point and was swinging well above .200. The set had rallies and runs from both sides but ultimately the Battlin' Bears came away on top 25-20.
The third set looked to be the same result until the 'Jackets came alive with a 6-0 run and pulling ahead 13-12 for their first lead in the set. RMC was able to make a comeback due to their offensive efficiency. They had hit over .230 as a team on the night and had two players hitting over .400. The Battlin' Bears were able to close out the third set over the 'Jackets 25-20 and take the match.
