BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State University Billings head golf coach
Jeff Allen has opened registration for MSUB golf camp set for July 14-15 at Lake Hills Golf Club. The camp is available to male and female golfers entering eighth through 12
th grade and is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
Designed for aspiring junior and high school players, camp will include fundamental instruction from PGA professionals on all areas of the game, including the mental game. Tuition for camp is $100 and interested golfers are encourage to register online by visiting the
MSUB Camps Website.
Allen will lead the camp and is in his third season in charge of the Yellowjacket men's and women's golf programs in 2020-21. Prior to that, he served as associate head coach of both men's and women's programs in the fall of 2018 and overall spent three seasons as an assistant coach in the program. In 2017-18, Allen assisted with both the men's and women's golf programs coaching them towards the GNAC Championships tournament.
Allen assisted on a women's golf team in 2016-17 that finished third in the GNAC in scoring average. The Yellowjackets also tied for the highest team GPA in GNAC single-season history with a 3.74. Allen assisted MSUB's men's team to a record-breaking single-round team score of 269 at the RMC Invite in the fall of 2016.
A native of Dillon, Mont., Allen was the assistant golf professional at Hilands Golf Club in Billings and held that post from 2011-19. He was named the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Assistant Professional of the Year in 2014, before becoming a Class A member of the PGA of America in February of 2015. Allen is assisted by
Marcus Drange in his seventh season and
Steven Falls Down in his second season.
