PORTLAND, Ore. - Montana State University Billings sophomore forward Brendan Howard was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's All-Academic Team Friday afternoon.
 
Howard is the lone representative from MSUB and carries a 3.28 grade point average in business administration: marketing. The sophomore from Great Falls, Montana is a first time selection in his first year of eligibility.
 
"Brendan has done a great job both on and off the court," said head coach Mick Durham. "He works hard at both and is very deserving of the academic honor."
 
On the court, Howard is leading the team and second in the GNAC with 21.9 points per game. He is also third in the conference in rebounds averaging 7.7 per contest. The pre-season all-conference selection is playing well and will look to add an all-conference selection at the end of the year in addition to hopefully helping the Yellowjackets make the GNAC tournament.
