Mick Durham to launch Sixth Man Club at Billings Hotel on Thursday

BILLINGS, Mont. – Continuing to reconnect with decades-old Montana roots, newly appointed Montana State University Billings head basketball coach Mick Durham will host community members at the Billings Hotel Lounge on Thursday at 6 p.m. Durham is launching the MSUB Yellowjacket Basketball Sixth Man Club aimed to keep his basketball program connected to Billings, Montana and MSUB supporters year round.

"I have always felt that it was important to have a Sixth Man Club as a way to keep our program in-touch with our supporters," Durham said. "The Billings community is a vital factor for our program and the success of our student-athletes both on and off the court. Hopefully this club will help rejuvenate our community impact as we build on our solid foundation of supporters."

With Coach Durham leading the way, the Sixth Man Club will give MSUB Basketball fans the opportunity to mingle with fellow supporters and learn about new opportunities to support the Yellowjackets. For more information about the MSUB Basketball Sixth Man Club or how to become more involved with Yellowjacket Basketball please contact Hollie West at hollie.west@msubillings.edu or (406) 896-5934.

Since Durham took over the program, the Yellowjackets have added three recruits to compliment the seven returning players on the roster. Two Montanans have joined MSUB with the signing of Brendan Howard and Seth Christiaens while Melvin Newbern Jr. joins the Yellowjackets via junior college out of Minnesota.
