MSUB SPORTS – Narrowly exceeding last year's total, the 2018 Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket Scholarship Dinner Auction was a success yet again as the athletic department announced a total of $61,752 being raised at the event last Friday.
 
All proceeds from the event are purposed directly towards scholarships for Yellowjacket student-athletes, and it marks the largest single fundraising event for the department each year. This year's dinner auction, which took place at the Red Lion Hotel/Montana Convention Center, was the 21st annual event.
 
"We would once again like to thank all of the generous members of the MSUB and Billings communities for their contributions to our student-athletes," said MSUB director of athletics Krista Montague. "We would not be able to provide our students with the opportunities that they have if it weren't for this support. All of the success we achieve on the field and in the classroom is made possible by all those who give back, and we are grateful towards all those who participated."
 
The prizes for best costumes at the event were also announced on Wednesday.
