BILLINGS, Mont. – The 20th annual Montana State University Billings Athletics Scholarship Dinner Auction had another successful showing in 2017, with a total of $61,000 being raised at the event held on Oct. 27 at the Radisson Hotel.
 
Each year, the scholarship dinner auction is the largest single fundraiser for the MSUB athletic department, with all proceeds being applied directly towards scholarships for student-athletes.
 
"We would like to thank Jerry Theis and the Aflac Billings regional office for sponsoring this event, and for all of the community members who once again showed their unwavering support for our athletic department," said MSUB director of athletics Krista Montague. "This is our signature fundraising event each year, and it is crucial towards ensuring we have the resources needed to provide our student-athletes with a great experience during their time at MSUB. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed towards helping us achieve this goal."
 
Winners of the annual Halloween-themed costume contest were as follows:
-Best Group: MSUB Women's Basketball – Cruella de Vil and 101 Dalmatians
 

-Best Tandem: Matt & Laurel Struck – Big Bad Wolf & Little Red Riding Hood
 

-Most Original: Thomas & Melissa Chameraud – Jon Snow & Daenerys Targaryen, Game of Thrones
