BILLINGS, Mont.  – The Montana State University Billings Softball team won both of their games on Saturday, Apr. 12 against Northwest Nazarene University by scores of 6-4 and 7-1. 
 
MSU Billings (15-18, 7-11 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) played their last two games of the home season against Northwest Nazarene (11-27, 3-12 GNAC)/
 
Senior pitcher Amanda Todd (4-6) struck out 11 and only allowed one hit in the first game of Saturday's double-header on Senior Day at Avitus Group Stadium.
 
In game one, Brittney Sanders was 2-3 with a homerun and Aubrey Conceicao was 3-4 with two RBI's.  Senior Samantha Jo Everett was also 2-3 with one run.  The Yellowjackets had 13 hits in the first game: one double, one homerun, and 11 singles. 
 
Northwest Nazarene made it interesting in the seventh as Justine Callen hit a double into left field for the first hit of the game.  Three batters would walk and four batters had a fielder's choice in the inning as the Crusaders managed to push four runners across the plate before MSUB's Todd struck out the ninth batter of the inning to get the win. 
 
Noelle Wright (6-14) recorded the loss for NNU as she fanned 11 hits while giving up six runs.
 
In game 2, both teams had six hits, but Northwest Nazarene stranded seven and had four team errors.  MSU Billings scored all seven of their runs in the second inning.
 
The Yellowjackets made it through their line-up once in the second, as all nine batters had a chance at the plate.  Sanders and Conceicao both had singles that scored runs, while Taylor Hoke hit a homerun to left field for three RBI's.  It was Hoke's second homerun of the weekend; both homeruns scored three runs each. 
 
The Crusaders lone run came in the third inning as Megan Lounsbury sent a long single into center field to bring in Whitney Carlton. 
 
Jessyka MacDonald (6-5) recorded the win for MSU Billings as she fanned one hit and struck out seven batters.  Ashley Pesek (4-11) took the loss for the Crusaders.  
 
Amanda Todd, Breanna Wilson, and Samantha Jo Everett were all honored before the first game of the day.  All three seniors were playing in their last home game at MSUB.
 
Wilson recorded five hits over the weekend with two RBI's.  Everett had three hits and scored one run.  In her two complete games this week, Todd struck out 17 batters while only allowing one hit in each game.
 
Next week Montana State University Billings travels west.  The Yellowjackets will play two make-up games against Saint Martin's University.   MSUB is down 1-15 at the top of the fourth inning to the Saints in game one, and then will play a second game.  Those games will be played on Friday, Apr. 18 in Lacey starting at 3 pm PT before the 'Jackets head north for a four game series against Simon Fraser University.  MSU Billings will play the Clan on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 19 and 20 starting at 1 pm PT.
