Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MONMOUTH, Ore.  – The Montana State University Billings Women's Softball team lost both of their opening conference games to Western Oregon University on Friday Mar. 7, by scores of 5-9 and 2-5.

In the first game, MSUB was down by seven runs at the top of the fourth inning.  The Yellowjackets would mount a comeback and go on and put up five runs in the top of the fifth to get to within two, 5-7.  It wouldn't be enough as WOU would add two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 9-5 lead and that's where the score would stay.

The second game featured another quick start by the Wolves as WOU put up three runs in the first inning to jump out to the early lead.  MSUB would add one run in the fourth and one in the seventh, but Western Oregon was able to hold off the Yellowjackets and add two more runs in the bottom of the sixth for the final score of 2-5.
