BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings double-headers against Minot State University scheduled for this weekend have been cancelled.
For the second week in-a-row, the home softball schedule has been disrupted by winter weather. The four non-conference games scheduled for this Saturday, Mar. 1 and Sunday, Mar. 2 have been scrubbed due to another big winter storm.
"Unfortunately we have had to cancel another weekend of softball games due to the weather," Head Coach
Lisa Allen said. "We will instead spend this week getting prepared for our conference games in two weeks. We look forward to getting back out on the dirt!"
MSU Billings (5-4) will travel to Monmouth Ore., Mar. 7 and Mar. 8 for the teams' first Great Northwest Athletic Conference games of the season.
"Our team will continue to work hard in the gym over the next couple of weeks in order to prepare for Western Oregon University," Coach Allen stated. "Although it is not ideal, this team will do what they need to do in order to be successful in conference and the rest of the season."
