GNAC Standings Report
BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billing Women's Basketball Team has two road games this week as the team will try and stay at No. 1 in the conference and keep their nine-game conference winning streak alive.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, MSU Billings (20-5, 12-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) travels to Monmouth, Ore. to face Western Oregon University. Then, on Saturday, Feb. 22, the team heads to Lacey, Wash. for their last season conference road game at Saint Martin's University.
Montana State University Billings has won their last 10 games – and is on a nine-game conference win-streak as they look to continue the momentum into this week's tough road games.
"Last week's wins were very different," Head Coach
Kevin Woodin said. "We shot the ball well vs. NNU and won a high scoring game but then struggled with our shooting against CWU. However, our defense was solid in that contest and thus we came out on top. I like the way we have been playing lately. We are working hard on each possession and staying in the present."
Last week the Yellowjackets got two wins at home, defeating Northwest Nazarene University on Thursday, 90-72, and then Central Washington University on Saturday, 60-39.
Bobbi Knudsen led the way for MSUB with 36 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds in the two games.
Quinn Peoples had 33 points, including 10 three-point baskets, and set a new career-high seven three's in the game against NNU.
Chelsea Banis finished the two games with 29 points and 18 rebounds. Banis was a perfect 5-5 from the field and 1-1 from the free-throw line on Thursday.

"We are excited to play at WOU and SMU this week," Coach Woodin said. "I know both of these games will very tough but we are looking forward to the challenge. Western Oregon has played a lot of good teams very tough and St. Martin's has played extremely well all season, especially at home."
