Carpenter followed his game one performance with a 2-3 effort in game two, while also scoring two runs. Joey Danner made the start for Colorado Mesa and tallied five of the team's six strikeouts.

MSUB made a great late game effort scoring two runs in the top of the seventh but they would not be able to complete the task and would go on to lose their sixth game of the season
