2025: Pitched in 28 games and made 20 starts during her senior season... pitched in a total of 95.2 innings... totaled five complete games, one shutout, and five wins during the season... struck out 32 batters... picked up her first win of the season with a complete game shutout on Mar. 12 against Black Hills State... struck out a seoson high three batters five seperate times... Academic All-GNAC.

2024: Pitched in 34 games in her first season with MSUB... made 24 starts... pitched a total of 161 innings, leading all pitchers... pitched 14 complete games... finished the season with five wins and a save, striking out 54 batters... received her first win as a Yellowjacket on Feb. 24 against Providence... had seven scoreless appearances... CSC Academic All-District.

Feather River Community College: Competed in two seasons at Feather River... Totaled a 2.06 ERA in her freshman season, winnign 15 games and collecting one save... struck out 157 batters in 179.2 innings of work... also took 75 at bats, collecting 21 hits for a .280 batting average... had five doubles, one triple, and six RBIs... First Team All-Conference as a freshman... earned a 3.19 ERA in her sophomore season, striking out 84 batters and winning 15 games over 151.1 innings... hit .286 with 12 hits that season, hitting three home runs and collecting 13 RBIs on the year.
 
Quincy Junior Senior High School: Lettered on four seasons of high school softball... team MVP two seasons... was a team capain in each seasons, while also earning four years of all-league and all-conference honors.

Coach McKinney on James:  "Caitlyn is coming to us with a ton of collegiate pitching experience. Caitlyn is a competitor, who spins the ball well and will make the hitters work. Caitlyn also has the potential to not only produce for us in the circle but produce for us offensively. We are so thrilled to have Caitlyn as a Yellowjacket."

James on choosing MSUB:  "I chose MSUB because of how welcoming and how at home I felt there. The coaching staff, the girls, the school staff, and just simply the vibes I got from my visit were just how it is back home. I am so thankful to be able to say I am transferring to somewhere I know my parents are going to feel comfortable with me going to, and I am so thankful as well to get to know a new team and make new memories while playing the game that I love and that I am so blessed to be even able to transfer and compete at the next level! Go Yellowjackets!"
