2021: Appeared in 11 matches and started in one…had single-match highs of 20 assists (Oct. 28 at Saint Martin’s), seven digs (Oct 28. at Saint Martin’s), two kills (twice) and 3.0 total blocks (Sept. 12 at Chaminade)…had six games with 10 or more assists…ranked second on the team with 96 assists (3.84 per set)…recorded a team-high 16 assists to go along with her two digs, 2.0 total blocks and a kill against the University of Hawai’i-Hilo on Sept. 12…added three blocks and 16 assists at Chaminade on Sept. 12…set her single-match career highs with 20 assists, seven digs and two kills at Saint Martin’s on Oct. 28.
Carter High School: Four-year letterwinner…spent time both as a setter and outside hitter under head coach Rachel Meyers…was named player of the year and most valuable player as a senior, and was an all-region tournament team selection…was all-district MVP as a junior, and was a three-time all-district tournament team selection…team captain…led her squad to a district championship and sub-state appearance for the first time in school history during her senior campaign.
Coach Williams on Norman: "When Briel attended camp this year, I was super intrigued by her size, physicality, and high volleyball IQ. Briel plays for a great club and will bring a ton of great experience to our setting position. I can't wait to have her in the gym."
