2015: Played in eight games as a true freshman…secured first career assist on Oct. 24 at Western Oregon…took two shots, placing one on target…totaled 165 minutes, averaging 20.63 per game…played season-high 32 minutes at Western Washington on Oct. 15.

Kamiakin High School: Earned six letters as a defender for the Braves as well as a hurdler and 4x400 relay specialist…under head coach Chris Erickson, helped her team to a Mid-Columbia Conference championship as a junior and a conference co-championship title as a senior…in 2013 helped the Braves to a runner-up finish at the Washington Class 3A championships…as a senior, was a second-team all-league defender, contributing to a back line that only conceded eight goals all season and posted a 12-2-0 record…in track and field, teams won all of the meets they competed in, and she was a first-team all-conference selection as a senior for her efforts as part of the Braves’ relay teams.
 
Coach Krakowiak on Oaks: “Dariann is a skilled defender who possesses great size as well as good individual defending skills. With her height and ability she can become very versatile for us. After evaluating her with her club team you could really see her competitiveness and love for the game come out. She is an enthusiastic, smart student-athlete who takes her academics very seriously holding a 3.6 high school GPA. She will fit right in with our program here at MSUB.”  
 
Oaks on choosing MSUB: “The soccer coaching staff at MSUB is excellent and the team has a welcoming atmosphere. When I toured MSUB it felt friendly and like a place I could call home. The academics also fit my future career path.”
