2021: In second season with the ‘Jackets played in all 19 matches and earned nine starts primarily as an outside back…totaled 814 minutes for an average of 42.8 minutes per game…took five shots and placed two on target…played a season-high 89 minutes on Oct. 9 against Simon Fraser…earned academic all-conference recognition.
2020: Fall season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic…in MSUB debut played in all nine matches and started four during the 2021 spring season…took six shots and placed three on target…totaled 360 minutes for an average of 40 minutes per match…played a season-high 63 minutes on March 7 against Montana…had a season-high two shots on goal on April 3 against Minot State.
Western Wyoming Community College: As a freshman in 2019 scored five goals while adding a pair of assists for a dozen points in 18 games played…ranked third on the team with 47 shots taken, and converted the lone penalty kick attempt that she took…was team captain, nominated for all-region, and was an NJCAA all-academic selection.
Real Salt Lake Academy: Utilized as an outside midfielder and outside back during her prep career…also competed in cross country…competed for ODP in 2013 and 2014, and was her club team captain from 2017-19.
Coach Cavallo on Southwick: "Cassie is an athletic, physical defender that will add to our depth across the back line as she can feature both centrally or on the outside. She is a captain of her current junior college team and we believe the leadership qualities she will bring into our program will be immense."
Southwick on choosing MSUB: "Playing at a four-year school has been one of my biggest dreams ever since I first started playing soccer at age five, and now I am so excited to officially say that I have committed to play at a four-year school. Little five-year-old me would be so proud!"
