After completing a stellar two-year career with the Yellowjackets, Tiana Hanson begins her first season as a volunteer assistant with the women’s basketball program in 2017-18.
 
Hanson broke the MSUB career free-throw percentage by shooting at a clip of 87.6 percent. She was also a CoSIDA Academic All-American and earned second-team all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference honors during her senior season.
 
As a senior in 2016-17, Hanson led the team in scoring with 17.4 points per game, and ranked third in the conference with 7.2 rebounds per game. She shot 50.3 percent from the field, led the team in blocks with 34, and grabbed seven double-doubles.
 
Hanson was named MSUB’s Scholar Athlete of the Year and Women’s Basketball Player of the Year at the Buzzies in April, 2017. She transferred to MSUB after two successful seasons at Sheridan College, where she earned NAIA honorable mention All-America honors.
