Bagnell on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB for several reasons. The intimate size and location of MSUB was very appealing to me. While being an affordable in-state university, it was also far enough away from home for me to flourish on my own but close enough to visit my family. I could tell that MSUB would create a learning environment similar to Frenchtown, with professors personally invested in my education. Another deciding factor that went into my college decision was the softball program. I went to multiple camps at MSUB and met some of the girls on the team as well as the coaches. Their dedication to the softball program was obvious as they interacted with athletes, making this an even more attractive choice. The University Honors College was another opportunity that struck my eye. My academic career has always been the top priority in my life, and having the chance to get involved with other students who hold their academic standards just as high as me was really important. I have chosen to major in English and minor in political science with an emphasis in pre-law. My goal is to attend law school.”
