Malta High School: Oyler was a four-year letter-winner in football, wresting and track and field for the Mustangs...He was an all-state and an all-conference seletion three times in football and wrestling...He was all-conference in track and field three times, and an all-state selection in football...Oyler was academic all-state all four years of his high school career, and a member of the National Honor Society.
