Billings West High Sschool: Three year starter for the Bears … Helped West to three State AA tournament appearances and a 2009 State AA championship … Key mid-fielder for the Magic City club Soccer team that won the 2010 Montana state championship … Played for the 2007-2008 Region 4 Olympic Developmental Program  team …  Earned Academic All-American honors in 2010 … Received team’s Most Improved Player award  in 2009 and Most Versatile Player in 2011 … Besel also earned the Referees Black Whistle Award for Sportsmanship in 2011.
