2021: First-team all-GNAC selection in final season with the Yellowjackets…led the GNAC with seven assists, which was tied for sixth-most assists in MSUB single-season history…ranked third on the team with nine points…scored first collegiate goal on Nov. 4 in MSUB’s 1-1 draw against Western Washington…took 14 shots and placed seven on target…had multi-assist games on Oct. 2 at Seattle Pacific and Nov. 6 against Simon Fraser…took a season-high three shots and two on target on Sept. 5 at UC Colorado Springs…totaled 940 minutes for an average of 72.3 minutes per game…played a season-high 95 minutes on Oct. 2 at Seattle Pacific…played in 13 matches and made 12 starts…academic all-conference selection.

2020: Fall season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic…did not compete during 2021 spring season.
 
2019: Played in a career-high 12 games, starting five of them…totaled 532 minutes for an average of 44.3 minutes per game…took seven total shots and placed three on goal…played in a season and career-high 110 minutes against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 7.
 
2018: Was projected to be a key starting forward until a season-ending knee injury early in the year…started the first five games of the season before getting hurt…had first-career assist on Sept. 7 against Colorado Christian…played 305 total minutes for an average of 61 per game…played a season-high 88 minutes on Aug. 31 against Cal Poly Pomona…took five total shots and placed two on goal…took one corner kick.

Coach Balog on Putu: "Marvin is a player who we cannot wait to see on the field. He's got an outstanding soccer background and education and has shown success both on and off the field. Marvin was recruited by multiple programs before choosing MSUB, which, given his pedigree, I'm very proud of. His skillset should be a great fit for the GNAC, so we are expecting Marvin to contribute right away and become an important player for us from the get-go."
 
Putu on choosing MSUB: "I chose MSUB because the school's academic and soccer programs interested me. It gives me the possibility to keep my studies going while also playing soccer. Athletically I think this was the best decision I could have made, and I have a good feeling about Coach Balog."
