Coach Balog on Hauenstein: "JD understands what we are all about and what we will be asking of him in our program. He has been on our campus multiple times, and I like the fact that he made up his mind so quickly in deciding to become a Yellowjacket. JD will bring technique, outstanding positioning, and a great work rate to our team. He is explosive, can turn quickly, and is agile, and he made an outstanding impression every time he attended our ID camps. JD has been exposed to a good level of high school and club soccer play, which will benefit him when he arrives here in August."
Hauenstein on choosing MSUB: "I chose to go to MSUB for a couple of reasons. First, I like the location and surrounding area. My grandparents live in Fishtail, Mont., and I am looking forward to exploring additional outdoor activities and the areas around Billings. Second, I like the size of the school, the student life, and the degrees offered. I think all of these things will factor into me being a successful graduate. Last but not least, I had the best experience at MSUB's soccer ID camps. I enjoyed staying on campus and getting to know the players and coaches. I appreciate the family atmosphere and their interest in ensuring that I'm a successful soccer player, student, and member of MSUB's community."
