Kyle Emerick

Kyle Emerick begins his fourth season on MSUB’s coaching staff as an assistant, after completing a four-year career as a player after the 2014-15 academic year.
 
In his final collegiate season, Emerick earned honorable mention all-GNAC and played in 15 games starting 14 as a senior captain. He tallied five assists, which were the second most on the team, and played 944 minutes in his final collegiate season. Emerick attempted nine shots with four landing on target, and took 26 corner kicks, second most on the team.

In 2013, Emerick emerged as a leader and powerful offensive weapon during his third season in the program. He played in 18 matches, starting 11, scored two goals and notched three assists for a team third-best seven points. Emerick placed four of his 12 shots on target during his junior campaign. He scored the game-winning goal in a 4-0 victory over Saint Martin’s on Oct. 17 in Billings.
 
In his sophomore campaign, Emerick appeared in all 18 matches, making nine starts and registering 1,082 minutes. He tied for second on the team in goals scored and points, recording four goals and three assists for a total of 11 points. Emerick took 21 shots with 12 landing on goal (.571 SOG percentage), and scored one game-winning goal. He recorded three goals against University of Mary on Oct. 27, 2012.

In his true freshman year, Emerick contributed quality minutes for the team as he started 12 and appeared in all 18 games. He scored four goals, fourth best on the team, and dished out one assist. Emerick scored a total of nine points, took 12 total shots with seven on goal (.583), and had one game-winning goal.
 
During his prep career at Billings Senior High School, Emerick lettered for four years  where he helped lead the team to a third place finish at state in 2010. He tallied 16 assists and seven goals in the midfield as a senior, and recorded 30 assists and nine goals in his high school career. Emerick earned all-state honors in 2009 and 2010 and was a team captain both years. He earned the Black Whistle Award for Sportsmanship in 2008, and earned Academic All-America honors in 2007 and 2010.
