Career Single Game Bests

2016: Played in four games as a true freshman…saw 31 minutes of action in goal…played a season-high 12 minutes against Saint Martin’s on Nov. 3.

Service High School: Earned three letters under head coach Daniel Rufner…as a junior, tallied eight shutouts and made 93 saves…held a goals-against average of 0.88 and a save percentage of 86.0…first-team all-Cook Inlet Conference selection…team’s defensive player of the year and captain…also competed in football for two seasons as a linebacker and tight end.

Coach Balog on VanBlankenstein: "Caleb caught my eye with his very steady level of goalkeeping, and has a big upside. Caleb's distribution is top class and he is very explosive. He and I will be working very closely to improve on a daily basis, and to make him into a solid NCAA Division II goalkeeper. With Caleb we also get a good student, who knows what our program is about. He got a very good idea what our program's philosophy is like while he was here on his visit. I look forward to having him here in August and I am excited to see how he will match up with our other two goalkeepers."

VanBlankenstein on choosing MSUB: "I chose MSUB because when I was on my official visit, I immediately felt like part of the team. Montana is a lot like Alaska, so I knew it would make the transition to college easier. I look forward to everything MSUB has to offer."
