2021-22: Second-team all-conference selection in final collegiate season…ranked second on the team with a scoring average of 74.83 strokes per round…competed in all 24 rounds and all nine events…posted a pair of top-10 finishes and one top-five finish…shot a season-best single-round score of 68 in final collegiate event, at the GNAC Championships on April 18…shot a season-best two-round score of 148 at the Northwest Nazarene Invitational on March 7-8…posted a season-best three-round score of 215 at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on April 4-5…best finish of the year was fourth place at the Hardrocker Invitational on Sept. 20-21…notched a W-L record of 411-201 on the year (.672)…finished career ranked 13th in school history with a scoring average of 76.38 strokes per round.
2020-21: Fall season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic…competed in nine rounds during the spring…posted a scoring average of 78.11 strokes per round…had a pair of top-10 finishes including one top-five finish…had a season-low score of 74 on Feb. 22 at the Bay Area Invitational…placed third at the Hardrocker Classic on April 13…academic all-conference.
2019-20: Spring season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic…played all six team events in 2020...scored a season single round best 73 on September 23 at the Western Washington Invite...shot season best 224 three-round total at the Sierra Central Wildcat Invite October 14-15...averaged 226.8 strokes per round in the fall and 246 in two events in the spring.
University of Providence: Competed in golf for two seasons for the Argonauts…academic all-conference pick in 2018-19.
Capital High School: Competed in golf and tennis…was an all-state selection in golf his senior season…was also a two-time team captain of the Bruins’ golf team, and team captain in tennis for one year…among his personal bests on the course include a nine-hole score of 30, a three-round score of 13-under-par, an individual round of 64, and four holes-in-one.
Coach Allen on Lawrence: “Riley comes to MSUB with two years of college experience, which will be a nice addition to a roster that has a lot of tournament experience with five returning players. He was a top player for Providence and has the ability to shoot some very low scores. His work ethic and dedication to the game are exactly what we are looking for in this program. I look forward to Riley making an immediate impact for our team.”
Lawrence on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB because I want to play golf at a higher level, and I believe MSUB and Coach Allen can help me accomplish that. The program is growing more successful, and I want to be a part of it.”
