Voetberg on choosing MSUB: "I’ve never been one to shy away from an adventure, and choosing MSUB is definitely one of the biggest yet. As someone from Wisconsin, being so far from home is a little intimidating—but also super exciting. The city of Billings is bustling with new development and opportunity, and let’s be honest, having the Rocky Mountains just an hour from my dorm is a dream come true. As someone who loves the outdoors, it gives me the perfect escape to recharge, while still being in a city that can help me focus on my future. The coaching staff really stood out to me—they’re not only knowledgeable and passionate but also seem like the kind of people who genuinely care and want to see their athletes succeed. I’m beyond excited to start this new chapter 1,000 miles from home, and I’m incredibly grateful to the coaches for making it financially possible through an athletic scholarship.
