2021-22: Started in 12 of the 21 games in which he played during his first full season at MSUB…Averaged 1.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game…Scored a season-high four points on four occasions, most recently against Alaska on Jan. 29…Grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in a season-high 26 minutes against Holy Names on Nov. 13…Earned Academic All-GNAC honors.
2020-21: Season canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic...Averaged 20.5 minutes in both exhibition games...Scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his Yellowjacket debut against Yellowstone Christian College on Feb. 6...Added two points and three rebounds off the bench against Rocky Mountain College on Feb. 10.
Chandler Gilbert CC: Averaged 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds during JUCO career…had season-highs of 14 points and 14 rebounds in 2018-19 campaign.
Highland High School: Competed in basketball for four seasons and earned three letters…named defensive player of the year as a senior…honorable mention all-conference selection…named most improved player as a junior…also competed on the swim team for four seasons.
Brown on choosing MSUB: “After a few conversations with Coach Durham I had a great feeling about the direction he is taking the program. When I looked into the school and its programs, I felt the school would be a great fit for me.”
Durham on Brown: "Jimmy gives us a young inside guy that has a big upside. He gained valuable experience at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in his two years there. Being able to redshirt his first year was very valuable and will allow him to have three years with us. Jimmy runs the floor hard and also has a nice touch down in the low post. He has good footwork and fundamentals defensively to being able to guard inside and outside. I am excited to add a young big to this year's recruiting class."
