Following his collegiate success, Evans had a brief professional career overseas in Ostersund, Sweden for Jamtland Basket, where he gained valuable international experience.

After returning to the U.S., Evans transitioned into coaching, starting at Huntley Project High School for the 2023-2024 season, where he contributed to player development and team success.

At Florida State, Evans led the Seminoles to a 16-4 record (2020) and took home the first ACC Conference Championship in school history. That season, FSU made it all the way to the sweet 16 and ended the year as the 10th ranked team in the country. During his time at Florida State, Evans won the Charlie Ward Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year Award, the Otto Petty Most Assists Award, the First Year Academic Achievement Award, and the Unsung Hero Award.

At North Idaho College, Evans was a junior college standout, earning Most Valuable Player twice at their conference tournament and was recognized as the Northwest Athletic Conference Male Player of the Year in 2019. Evans also was named to the All-East Region Defensive team and was the East Region MVP in 2019. He had the stats to back as he averaged double figures in both seasons at NIC and led them to their second consecutive NAC Conference Championship.

Evans, a Billings native, graduated from Skyview high school in 2017. To nobody's suprise, he dominated Class AA, winning back-to-back State Championships and earned All-State honors as well as named by USA Today. Evans earned AA All-State First Team honors and Eastern Class AA All-Conference First Team honors as a senior after averaging 18.2 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 3.3 APG, and 2.1 SPG. He also played in the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Game following his senior year, scoring 10 points to lead Montana to a 93-78 victory.
