2021: Played in 13 games and earned five starts in final season with the Yellowjackets…posted a .105 batting average with two hits in 19 at-bats…had one RBI…scored two runs…on the mound made five appearances, all out of the bullpen…posted a 9.45 ERA…had three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings of work…threw a season-high 2 1/3 innings on April 16 against Northwest Nazarene.

2020: Made two pitching appearances and totaled 2.2 innings pitched...Allowed two earned runs against Point Loma Nazarene on February 1...Allowed five earned runs against Sioux Falls on February 16...Had 12 at bats and two starts in the field...Hit .167 with three runs scored, two hits, and two walks...Held an on base percentage of .286...Recorded season best one hit and two runs scored in four at bats against Saint Martin's on March 6.

2019: Put together a strong debut season as a redshirt freshman…ranked fourth on the team with a .349 batting average…started 23 games and played in 43 overall…had four doubles, a triple, and two home runs…drove in 20 runs, and slugged .494…reached base at a clip of .443…was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts…scored 25 times…became fifth player in MSUB history to record a home run for first collegiate hit, doing so on March 17 against Central Washington…broke the MSUB record for hits in a game, going 6-for-7 on April 27 at CWU…tied the MSUB record for at-bats in a game with seven on April 27…had the second-most RBIs in a game in MSUB history with eight on April 27…scored a season-high three runs on April 27…stole a season-high two bases on April 18 against NNU…had a season-high three putouts on April 12 against WOU and May 2 against Concordia…had a season-high five assists on May 9 against WOU…after posting a .105 batting average in first 22 career games (2-for-19), batted .422 (27-for-64) over final 21 games of the year…helped the ‘Jackets claim their fourth regular-season title in the last five years and tie the school record with 33 wins…helped the team win its first-ever GNAC tournament title and claim its first-ever berth into an NCAA D2 West Region Championship tournament.

2018: Redshirted.

Chatsworth Charter High School: Four-year letter winner…was been selected as a first-team all-West Valley League pitcher, and was the conference pitcher of the year…team captain and cites a highlight of his career as pitching in the championship game at Dodger Stadium…as a junior in the spring of 2016, held a 0.86 ERA and posted a nearly spotless 9-1 record on the mound.

Coach Waddoups on Roche: "Ryan is a high baseball IQ player.  He has plus hands and is always in the right spot on the field.  His defense sets him apart.  He will be a grinder offensively that can create havoc on the base paths."
 
Roche on choosing MSUB: "I chose MSUB because of the amazing school, area, and baseball team, which showed me that they want me to come be a Yellowjacket."
