Junior Season (2006): Was one of only three players to play in and start all 50 games...went 39-for-159 at bat for a .245 batting average...led the team with 159 at bats for the season...scored 25 runs...led the team with 26 RBI ranking first in the modern era of school history for RBI in a single season...had eight doubles, one triple and one home run...had 52 total bases with a .327 slugging percentage and a .313 on base percentage...went a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases ranking first in school history for stolen base percentage...went 2-for-4 with one run, one double and two RBI against Northwest Nazarene (2/25/06)...went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI against Northwest Nazarene (3/17/06)...went 4-for-4 with two runs against Lincoln (3/28/06)...had eight multi-hit games...had six multi-RBI games...finished the season tied for second in school history for RBI in a single game with four.

Nick Hoskyn is a 2003 graduate of Oelwein High School where he was named second team Academic and Male Athlete of the Year.  Hoskyn played two years for North Iowa Area Community College before transferring to Montana State-Billings.  He is the son of Bill and Lori Hoskyn.

"The addition of Nick really solidifies our team defensively and our lineup offensively," said head coach Chris Brown.  "He comes to us from a successful program and has done extremely well there the last two years.  Nick is a very talented all-around athlete that has the ability to play pretty much anywhere.  he has a strong arm, runs very well, drives the ball gap to gap, and has the ability to cover a lot of ground defensively.  We expect him to be a major impact both on and off the field."
