Prior to MSUB: Knoll's craftiness will bring a quality arm to MSUB's pitching rotation … He is a dual sport athlete lettering in baseball and football for three years … In 2012 while helping South Salem capture a CVC League Championship, Knoll recorded an 8-3 record and 88 strikeouts … He also went 8-1 for the Withnell Dodgers and recorded a combined 3.08 ERA in 2012 … For his efforts, Knoll was a first team all-league selection and honorable mention all-state selection … In 2011 he was a key contributor on the Dodgers 2011 American Legion AAA State Championship team … Knoll earned second team all-league honors in 2011.
