Prior to MSUB: Joe played football for NAIA power house Carrol College, and he also played baseball at Scottsdale Community College ... Most recently he spent a year at MSU's Bozeman campus.

Capital HS: Two year letter winner in football and track at Capital ... Helped his team win back to back state titles in 2006 and 2007 ... Earned first team all-state honors in football in 2007.
