Parker Kruckenberg is in his third season as the assistant baseball coach for the Yellowjackets in 2016-17.
Helping MSUB repeat as GNAC champions in 2016, Kruckenberg coached the squad to a 30-20 overall record and a share of the regular-season title with a mark of 23-15 in GNAC play. Holding primary responsibility over MSUB’s infield and defense, the Yellowjackets set a school record for fielding percentage with a mark of .968 through 50 games in 2016.
Kruckenberg helped MSUB to its first-ever GNAC title in 2015, as the ‘Jackets finished with a record of 27-23 and hosted the conference championship tournament in May, 2015.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Kruckenberg lends experience from a variety of collegiate programs.
Most recently, Kruckenberg served as a volunteer assistant coach for North Dakota State University during the 2013-14 academic year. The Bison reached the NCAA Division I baseball championships, participating in the Corvallis (Ore.) regional tournament in 2014.
The playoff berth came following a victory in the Summit League Baseball Championships, as Kruckenberg helped NDSU defeat Western Illinois 9-0 in the championship game last May.
Prior to his time at NDSU, Kruckenberg was a volunteer assistant coach at Eastern Illinois University in 2013. He also holds experience as an assistant coach with the Thunder Bay Bordercats who participate in the Northwoods Summer League, and as an assistant coach at Augsburg College (Minn.) in 2012.
After earning a bachelor's degree in sport management from the University of Minnesota, Kruckenberg completed a master's in applied kinesiology with a sport management emphasis from UM in 2012.
Kruckenberg attended Fargo South High School in North Dakota, where he grew up. He and his wife Erin Kruckenberg reside in Billings and were married on July 16, 2016.
