Matt Geoffrion is entering his third season as a graduate assistant coach with the Montana State University BillingsĀ baseball team.
In the 2024-25 season, Geoffrion played a crucial role in supporting the pitching staff and player development, helping lead MSUB to one of the most remarkable seasons in program history. The team matched its single-season record with 33 wins and secured only the second NCAA West Region Tournament appearance in school history, where they achieved their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.
Under his support, the Yellowjackets saw 11 players earnĀ All-GNAC honors and four who received All-West Region recognition. Among the standouts were four pitchers honored with All-GNAC awards and two pitchers named to the All-West Region team.
Matt pitched professionally in the Pioneer League with the Idaho Falls Chuckars and the Glacier Range Riders.Ā He also pitched for the Salem Senators in the Mavericks League where he was named to the all-star team.Ā He also pitched and traveled overseas to Australia with the Redlands Rays baseball club.
Geoffrion has worked as an assistant coach and with pitching development for the Worcester Bravehearts in Massachusetts, Redland Rays in Brisbane, Australia, and with Farm Sports in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Ā Matt has shown a passion for player development.
He played collegiately at the University of Maine where he was named to 2017 America East All-Freshman team.Ā He finished his collegiate career at University of Colorado Colorado Springs winning the 2021 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship.Ā
