Jarrett Hunt begins his second season with the Yellowjackets as a graduate assistant in 2022-23. Hailing from Logan, Utah, he played baseball at William Penn University from 2018–21 where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in digital communications and a minor in business management.

While competing for WPU, Hunt set the career records for hits (162) and runs scored (117) and consecutive games started (126). In 2019 he was a key contributor as William Penn won its first Heart of America Conference Championship. Hunt was awarded the Gold Glove as a first baseman and earned all-conference recognition. In 2021 he was named to the all-Heart postseason tournament team again receiving all-conference honors. From 2018-21 Hunt was named to the Heart of America all-academic team and in 2020 and 2021, was selected to the NAIA all-academic team.Â

Prior to William Penn, Hunt began his collegiate playing career at Utah State University Eastern in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, from 2016-2018. He graduated with an associate of science degree. While at Eastern Utah, Hunt pitched and played first base, and in 2017 he received honors as the SWAC player of the week and pitcher of the week on separate occasions. In 2018, he was named to the all-region first team as a first baseman and was also named to the NJCAA all-academic second team.Â

Hunt is a graduate of Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, Utah. Hunt posted a career 10-0 record on his home mound and was named to the all-state team in 2015. He will be earning a Master of Puplic Relationas at Montana State University Billings.
Coaching Experience:Â
After his first season as GA for the Yellowjackets, Hunt accepted the role as Head Coach for the Spearfish Sasquatch, a collegiate summer team in Spearfish, South Dakota. Hunt took over for the second half of the season. The Sasquatch proceeded to win the second half and clinch a playoff berth. From there they went on to win the Great Plains Championship Series, eventually falling in the Independence League Title Series.Â
